Why do I need everything to be perfect?
When does this show up for you? Pick the moment that feels most familiar.
01
Staying on one chapter until perfect
Why can't I move forward until I'm perfect?
I started this chapter a week ago.
I keep re-reading it because it doesn't feel mastered yet.
I'm trying to understand every single detail.
But this endless re-reading isn't helping me learn.
It's just making me fall behind.
Everyone else has moved on to new topics.
I'm still here, chasing perfect understanding.
Maybe good enough is enough to move forward.
02
Rewriting notes endlessly
Why do I keep rewriting the same notes?
My notes are already clear and complete.
But they don't look perfect to me.
So I reorganize them again.
And again.
I change the colors, the fonts, the structure.
Hours pass and I haven't learned anything new.
I'm decorating instead of studying.
Maybe my notes are fine as they are.
Maybe my time is better spent actually learning.
03
Postponing mock tests because not ready
Why do I keep pushing back the mock test?
It's scheduled for tomorrow.
But I don't feel prepared enough.
So I postpone it.
I tell myself I'll do it when I'm ready.
But I'm never ready.
Feeling ready and actually being ready are different things.
I won't know what I don't know until I try.
Maybe imperfection is the only way to improve.
